Meet the Assistant Principals

Annette Almendarez, Assistant Principal aalmendarez@bisdtx.org
In 2003, I made the best decision of my life after being in the field of social work for ten years (which I have to say was also a very rewarding experience). I decided to join the wonderful world of educators.
I have a Bachelor's degree from Our Lady of the Lake in Social Work and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas State University. In 2008, I was accepted into Region XIII's Principalship program and also hired for my very first administrator position.
I am the proud Assistant Principal at Cedar Creek Elementary where all students achieve their highest potential due to the continued support they receive from their parents, teachers and volunteers in a variety of curricular and extracurricular activities.
Charlotte Zemo, Assistant Principal czemo@bisdtx.org

Hello Cedar Creek Eagles! My name is Charlotte Zemo and I am the new Assistant Principal at Red Rock and Cedar Creek Elementary.  Prior to arriving to Bastrop ISD, I had the opportunity of working in a variety of private and public elementary schools ranging from pre-K through 5th grade. My most recent experience was in Del Valle ISD as GT Coordinator and Special Education Teacher.

My husband Matthew is also in education and together we share 3 beautiful children Dominic, Carmela, and our four legged child Bruno. I am excited to work alongside staff at both Red Rock and Cedar Creek Elementary and have the opportunity to support the families of BISD.

I attended Texas State University where I received a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Masters of Elementary Education with a specialization in Early Childhood and a Minor in Education Administration.

I look forward in continuing to work with your children and can’t wait to meet you! If you see me around your child’s campus, please stop by and say hello!
